Day 700: Happy Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day to me!  Unfortunately, I will be spending father’s day alone this year.  My boys left for the States three days ago.  And since I packed out two days ago I can’t even grill! That’s right, I’m taking the might Weber of doom to Islama-Good.

But, I do want to take a moment and acknowledge how lucky I am to be the father of two such wonderful boys.  Fatherhood is truly a humbling endeavor and I am certainly not perfect.  I am honored to have a day each year to celebrate my efforts as a father… even if I have to go it alone this year.

I miss you guys!  I will see you next week!

Happy Father’s Day everyone!

Day 699: World Juggler’s Day

I have to say, I LOVE jugglers.  It takes the athletic skill and dexterity combined the graceful fluidity of dance and theatre.  Love it!

When I was in middle school I taught myself to juggle… this is around the time I wanted to attend the Ringing Bros Clown College… seriously, it’s a real place!  Anyway, these days I can juggle three items, the Diablo (the giant yo-yo) and the devil sticks…

To celebrate World Juggling Day I chose Chris Bliss’s Three Ball Beatles routing to show off the finesse of juggling, even when it seems so simple on the surface. My point?  You don’t have to juggle bowling balls, fire, chain saws… or eat apples to be spectacular.

Day 698: Urban Ninjas = Grayson

This video still amazed me.  BTW: Grayson is over my shoulder claiming he can do the stuff in this video.

Day 697: Gilliam’s ‘Home’ Coming

Today at around 5pm, Eastern Standard Time, Schutz family history will be made.  Gilliam will enter the United States for the FIRST TIME… EVER.  He’s five month old… and the country of his citizenship will actually be the 10th country he’s “stepped foot” in:  United Kingdom, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Germany… and finally… the good old, USA.   Gilliam is a classic Foreign Service brat.

WELCOME ‘HOME’ GILLIAM!

Day 696: Pirate/Ninja Battle

If YouTube existed when I was in High School… this so would have been me.  The use of the Star Wars music makes me laugh too.

Day 695: World Cup Coverage

A friend of mine sent me these links.  The Guardian is his favorite for World Cup coverage… I can see why… they are pretty hilarious:
They’ve also got some fine extras going on:
